The Space Coast Health Foundation board of directors recently announced the appointment of Dr. Jane Benton to the organization’s board.
A native of Panama City, Benton graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 1982, before attending medical school at the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, where she graduated in 1987. She completed her medical residency at the University of Florida’s Shands Hospital.
Currently, Benton works with pediatric patients at the Brevard Health Alliance.
Prior to working with the Brevard Health Alliance, Benton was co-director of Nemours Health Choices Clinic in Orlando.
Benton and her husband, Larry, have two grown children, and the couple lives on Merritt Island.
The Rockledge-based Space Coast Health Foundation is a grant-making organization established to enhance the health and wellness of individuals and communities in Brevard County.
